Supply Chain Director, Al Dahra Agriculture – Abu Dhabi 
Al Dahra Agriculture Company, founded in 1995 as a privately held company with over 800 employees worldwide with expertise in agriculture and animal’s production, B2B food distribution in Catering, Hotel, Restaurants’ and Government Food Contracts. Al Dahra has productions and distribution operations in UAE, Egypt, USA, Spain, Namibia and Pakistan. Main products are Fodder, Rice, Wheat, Olive Oil, Milk, Cheese, Fruit and Vegetables.
Born in Portadown, Northern Ireland. Educated at Portadown College and studied Business Administration in London, specializing in Transportation and Logistics.
Started working in the Bulk Transportation before moving in Air Courier sector with DHL based at Heathrow Airport.
Moved then into manufacuring Logistics within the Recorded Media Industry, this was manufacture and pressing of CD, CD Rom, DVD and magnestic tapes.
Next moved into the Dairy sector with Lactalis UK to head up the Logistics Division. Lactalis are a French Dairy company, the 2nd biggest in Europe with Lactalis are a French Dairy company, the 2nd biggest in Europe with a turnover in excess of EUR 7 billon who specialising in cheese, butter, desserts and milk for the retail market.
I was responsible for all supply chain functions in the UK, which including Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting, Production Planning, Inbound & Outbound Transportation, Warehousing, Order Picking and Customer delivery.
Then moved to the Middle East with Al Ghurair to control their Logistics and Distribution Division.
Al Ghurair is one of the largest Retail and B2B food producers in UAE, with main products being Flour, Edible Oils, Soya Beans and various Pulses supplying customers in GCC, Africa and the Far East.
After 2.5 years with Al Ghurair I moved to current company Al Dahra Agricultural where I am responsible for overall supply chain strategy in terms of sourcing, buying, sea freight, warehouse and land transportation. Other areas of involvement are in strategic overseas investment in agricultural projects in areas as diverse as Spain, Pakistan and Kazakhstan to support UAE Govt Food Security Program.
